You can access our Web site home page and browse our site without disclosing your personal data if you choose. Our Web site enables you to communicate with us or to post information to be accessed by others via the 'Feeback' and other site forms, such as the one used to post item reviews. When you do so, other visitors may view your name and e-mail address, if given. You can send confidential messages to The Chicken and Hen Shop via the Feedback form or e-mail facility.
Automatic Collection of Information
We automatically log personal data when an order is placed, by means such as programming or we link information automatically logged by such means with personal data given by specific individuals. We do so for the following purposes:

- Customer administration
- Provision of an e-mail Newsletter, which has an opt-out option.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where it becomes apparent that information has been given by a person under the age of 18 years, it will be deleted.
Confidentiality / Security
Personal financial information will not be requested from anyone buying books, either on site or by e-mail and is processed securely through Paypal or other secure processing services (see separate statement). Some personal information may be requested from anyone selling books, if paypal is not used. We have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unlawful destruction or accidental loss.

We believe our privacy policy is compliant with the Data Protection Act and The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.
